About Our Store
What is Vendlyz? Vendlyz is an independent online bookstore based in Los Angeles, California, operated by Vigorish LLC. We sell brand-new physical books across four categories: Biographies and Memoirs, Cookbooks and Food, Mystery and Thriller, and Romance.
Are your books new or used? Every book we sell is brand new. We source all titles from authorized distributors in the United States. We do not carry used, refurbished, or counterfeit copies.
Do you have a physical store I can visit? No. Vendlyz is online only. This allows us to keep our prices competitive and focus on a smooth shopping experience through vendlyz.com. Our registered business address is for correspondence purposes only.
Why is the book cover different from the image on the website? Publishers occasionally update cover designs between printings. The edition you receive may look slightly different from the photo on our Site, but the content inside is the same. This is standard in the book industry and is not considered a defect.
Ordering
How do I place an order? Browse our catalog, add books to your cart, and proceed to checkout. You will need to provide a shipping address and payment details. Once your payment is confirmed, your order is placed and we get to work.
What payment methods do you accept? We accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) processed through Stripe, as well as PayPal. All transactions are in USD. For more details, see our Payment Policy.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it? You have a 12-hour window from the time you place your order to request a cancellation. Email us at contact@vendlyz.com with your order number as soon as possible. After 12 hours, the order may have already entered processing and cancellation cannot be guaranteed. See our Refund and Returns Policy for details.
Is my payment information secure? Yes. We never see, store, or have access to your full card number. Payments are handled by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 certified) and PayPal, and our website uses SSL encryption across all pages.
I received an error when trying to check out. What should I do? First, double-check that your billing details and card information are entered correctly. If the issue continues, try a different payment method or contact your bank to make sure there are no restrictions on your card. If none of that works, reach out to us and we will help you troubleshoot.
Shipping and Delivery
Where do you ship? We currently ship within the contiguous United States (the lower 48 states). We are unable to deliver to Alaska, Hawaii, PO Boxes, or APO/FPO/DPO military addresses. International shipping is not available at this time.
How much does shipping cost? Orders of $99.00 or more ship free. For orders under $99.00, a flat shipping fee of $7.99 applies. There are no hidden charges β your total is shown at checkout before you confirm your purchase.
How long will it take to receive my order? Orders are processed within 2 to 4 business days (Monday β Friday). After shipping, delivery takes approximately 5 to 7 business days. So from the moment you order, you can expect your books within roughly 7 to 11 business days. For full details, see our Shipping Policy.
What is the daily order cut-off time? Our cut-off time is 4:00 PM Pacific Time (PT), Monday through Friday. Orders placed after this time, or on weekends and holidays, begin processing the next business day.
Which carriers do you use? We ship with FedEx, UPS, and USPS. The carrier is selected based on package size, weight, and destination. We are unable to accommodate requests for a specific carrier.
How do I track my order? Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. You can track your package on our Order Tracking page or directly on the carrier’s website. Please allow 24 to 48 hours for tracking information to update after shipment.
What if my tracking has not updated in several days? Occasionally, carriers experience scanning delays. If your tracking has not moved for more than 5 business days, contact us and we will investigate with the carrier on your behalf.
Returns and Refunds
What is your return policy? We offer a 30-day return window from the date your order is delivered. Items must be unused, unread, and in their original packaging. We do not charge a restocking fee. Full details are in our Refund and Returns Policy.
How do I start a return? Email us at contact@vendlyz.com with your order number and the reason for your return. We will respond within 1 business day with a return authorization and shipping instructions. Please do not send anything back without contacting us first.
Who pays for return shipping? If the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect β we cover the return shipping cost. For change-of-mind returns (wrong title, no longer wanted), the customer pays the return shipping cost.
How long does it take to get my refund? After we receive and approve your return, your refund is processed within 3 to 5 business days. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take a few additional days for the amount to appear in your account.
Can I exchange a book for a different one? Yes. Contact us at contact@vendlyz.com with your order number and the title you would like instead. Exchanges depend on product availability. If there is a price difference, we will charge or refund accordingly.
What items cannot be returned? Books with signs of use, markings, or damage caused by the customer. Spiral-bound editions that have been uncoiled. Gift cards and items marked as final sale on their product page.
What if my book arrived damaged? Contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the damage. We will arrange a return at our expense and send a replacement or full refund β your choice.
Delivery Issues
My package shows “delivered” but I did not receive it. Check around your delivery area β porches, mailboxes, side doors, or with neighbors. Allow 2 additional business days, as carriers sometimes update tracking before final drop-off. If you still cannot locate the package, contact us within 7 days and we will open an investigation with the carrier.
What happens if my package is lost in transit? If the carrier confirms the package is lost, we will offer you a replacement or a full refund. We aim to resolve these issues within 5 to 7 business days.
What if I entered the wrong shipping address? Contact us as soon as possible. If the order has not entered processing, we may be able to update the address. Once shipped, address changes are not possible, and we are not responsible for deliveries to an incorrect address provided at checkout.
Privacy and Your Data
Do you sell my personal information? No. Vendlyz does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
How can I opt out of data sharing? Visit our Do Not Sell My Personal Information page or email us at contact@vendlyz.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.”
What are my rights under California privacy law? As a California resident, you have the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, correct inaccurate information, and opt out of any sale or sharing of your data. Do you offer gift cards? Not at this time, but we are considering adding them in the future.
Can I place a bulk order? We are happy to discuss bulk orders for organizations, book clubs, or events. Email us at contact@vendlyz.com with details about what you need, and we will see what we can do.
Do you offer a loyalty or rewards program? Not currently, but stay subscribed to our mailing list β we will announce any new programs there first.
Is sales tax charged on my order? Yes. Applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address and local regulations. The tax amount is shown before you finalize your purchase.
How do I unsubscribe from marketing emails? Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any promotional email. You will still receive transactional emails related to your orders.
